An Investment That Lasts a Lifetime
Learning the piano is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.
At Musik Artz Studio, we believe that music education is about more than passing examinations or learning notes on a page. Every lesson is thoughtfully tailored to each student's age, learning pace and goals, helping them build not only strong musical foundations, but also confidence, creativity, perseverance and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Whether your child is learning for enjoyment, preparing for examinations or working towards performances, our dedicated teachers are committed to making every lesson meaningful, engaging and inspiring.
Our lesson fees reflect the quality of teaching, personalised guidance and enriching learning experiences that every student receives throughout their musical journey.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1) What is the minimum age to start piano lessons?
We generally recommend starting from 4 years old, provided the child is developmentally ready to learn in a structured lesson. This includes being able to follow simple instructions (such as recognising the left and right hand and finger numbers), remain attentive, and participate independently during the lesson.
2) Can adults learn piano too?
Absolutely! We welcome students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced pianists returning to music after many years. Lessons are individually tailored to each student's goals, whether for leisure, personal fulfilment or examinations.
3) How do you teach your students?
Every lesson is carefully tailored to each student's age, learning pace and goals. For younger students, we incorporate educational games and reward system to make learning enjoyable and motivating. Beyond weekly lessons, students also participate in semi-annual group classes featuring performance opportunities, peer learning, constructive feedback, musical games and enrichment activities designed to strengthen confidence, stage presence, musicianship and a love for performing.
4) Do you teach pop music?
Yes, we may incorporate pop songs into lessons where appropriate. That said, Musik Artz Studio is a classically-based piano studio. Our lessons focus on developing strong technique, music reading and musicianship, while carefully selecting repertoire that supports each student's overall musical development. Students who are interested in learning pop music are welcome, provided they are also willing to build these important foundations.
5) Do you prepare students for ABRSM examinations?
Yes. We prepare students for ABRSM Practical and Music Theory examinations when appropriate. However, we believe music education is about more than examinations alone. Students may also choose to participate in performances, concerts, festivals and masterclasses as part of their musical journey.
6) How does the trial lesson work?
Trial lessons are generally 30 minutes in duration (except for advanced students) and are available by appointment. To help ensure a smooth transition should you decide to enrol, trial lessons are conducted in an available regular weekly lesson slot. If you choose to continue after the trial, this trial slot will become your child's regular lesson time.
As our teachers have fixed teaching schedules and limited weekly availability, we encourage families to select a trial slot that they are able to commit to on an ongoing basis. Requests to change the lesson day, time or teacher after the trial are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Trial Lesson Fee
-
30min Trial Lessons are currently $19 (Limited time offer). Regular Trial Fees: Standard Teachers $49 and Founder & Principal Teacher $60. Book your trial here
7) Which teacher will my child be assigned to?
We will recommend the most suitable teacher based on your child's age, experience, learning goals and lesson availbility.
8) Can I choose a preferred lesson day and time?
Yes. You may indicate your preferred timings (multiple preferred) and we will do our best to accomodate them, subject to availability.
9) Do I need to own a piano before starting lessons?
We recommend that every student has access to a piano or 88 heavy weighted touch-sensitive digital piano for regular home practice. If you're unsure which instrument is most suitable, we'd be happy to advise you based on your child's age, goals and budget. As a Yamaha Partner School, our students also enjoy exclusive privileges and discounts on Yamaha pianos. We also work with other trusted piano dealers and are happy to recommend the most suitable instrument for your needs.
10) If my child misses a lesson last minute, can we arrange a replacement?
Students are entitled to 8 leave credits per calendar year. Replacement lessons may be arranged through lesson extensions or rescheduled to another day using these leave credits, provided at least 24 hours' notice is given.
11) Can we temporarily "pause" lessons during examinations like PSLE?
We understand that examinations are an important milestone for many students. To provide flexibility, students may utilise their allocated leave credits during the examination period. As our teachers reserve a dedicated weekly lesson slot for every student and teaching schedules are planned on a term basis, we are unable to offer temporary suspension of lessons while reserving the lesson slot. If you choose to discontinue lessons temporarily, it will be treated as a withdrawal. You are always welcome to re-enrol, subject to lesson availability and the prevailing lesson fees.
12) What if we decide to stop/terminate lessons?
One month advance notice before the current term ends is required for withdrawal. Please refer to our Key Studio Policies for more information.

Current Lesson Availability
We currently have limited lesson availability available with both our Standard Teachers and Founder & Principal Teacher. As many of our students attend weekly lessons, availability changes regularly and may be filled quickly. Please refer to our online booking system for the latest trial lesson availability.
Not sure which teacher or lesson duration is most suitable?
We'd be happy to recommend the best option based on your child's age, experience and goals during your trial consultation.
